Meet Nazlin

Nazlin’s internship focus and aims

I am a speech and language therapist in Newcastle, specialising in voice and communication work with trans and non-binary people. My area of interest for future research is the role of singing within trans voice work. I applied for the NIHR HCP internship as I wanted to “step into research” and address some of my research knowledge and skills gaps. I am using the time to do a masters level module in qualitative research in September, and to explore some of the available resources out there, all the while preparing for the next step. I am most looking forward to some time to think!
