Leoana’s internship focus and aims

The study I plan to undertake will explore access to MRI for radiotherapy planning in patients with pacemakers, identifying barriers and opportunities for improving clinical practice. One of the biggest challenges of this research is altering pre-conceived conceptions. Although access has improved for this group of patients, more can be done to investigate whether it is feasible and if so, how it can be done. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and confidence in undertaking my own research project. I am also excited to create new connections with fellow researchers and mentors.
