We are delighted to welcome Claire Hills-Wilson of Lawnmowers Theatre Company to lead the next session in our PPIE training programme.
Session Information
Join Lawnmowers Research Abilities whilst they show you how they understand the world of research. Using their Qualitree approach they will example and explore a full research process from start to end. They will show you their unique and accessible way to creatively use the arts to become more inclusive within research not from just a PPI perspective but also a collaborative co produce approach.
During the training they will include examples of research they have co designed and lead on. Show you inclusive ways to run workshops and how to unlock questions to allow more in depth responses by using things like jargon buzzers and also give you a window in to learning disabled culture and how awareness of that culture can play a vital role in how you conduct inclusive research.
Expect fun, games, videos and meet a lovely professor called Dr Sarah Bellum! We hope to see you there.
Programme Information
The programme is open to staff and public contributors involved in health and care research, regardless of their role or the organisation they work for. The sessions will offer participants the opportunity to learn how to do PPIE and participation activities effectively within research.
There is no requirement to have any previous experience within PPIE. There are various training sessions available that are relevant to individual levels of PPIE and participation knowledge.
