Session Information

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) can feel daunting. If you feel a little nervous about talking to patients or the public about your research, this is the right training session for you!

We will teach you some of the basics of PPI and you will hear from researchers and PPI contributors on their research experiences and advice on the best way to get started.

During the session you will have a chance to try out doing PPI in a safe and friendly environment with real PPI contributors to build your confidence in doing PPI.

Programme Information

The programme is open to staff and public contributors involved in health and care research, regardless of their role or the organisation they work for. The sessions will offer participants the opportunity to learn how to do PPIE and participation activities effectively within research.

There is no requirement to have any previous experience within PPIE. There are various training sessions available that are relevant to individual levels of PPIE and participation knowledge.
