Involving members of the public in research can lead to more relevant, inclusive, and impactful outcomes – but knowing where to start can sometimes be a challenge. This practical training session is designed for anyone who wants to set up a public advisory group (PAG) to inform and support their work.
You’ll learn how to plan and establish a group with a clear purpose, recruit diverse members, and create an inclusive, accessible environment for meaningful engagement. The session will cover facilitation techniques, ethical considerations, and strategies for sustaining involvement over time.
Whether you’re new to public involvement or looking to strengthen your approach, this training aims to equip you with the tools and confidence to build a successful advisory group that makes a real difference in your research.
The session will be delivered by:
- Ella Anderson, Fuse Public Involvement and Engagement Manaadger
