Applications open for the second cohort of the NIHR North East and North Cumbria Health and Care Professionals Internship Programme
Following the success of the first cohort, NHRP are delighted to open applications for the second cohort of its Health and Care Professionals Internship Programme. Funded by NIHR and co-hosted with Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW), the programme is designed to support registered health and care professionals in developing vital research skills to improve care across the region.

Research

By focusing on collaboration and interdisciplinary research, we will support and unlock novel, multi-partner opportunities that can self-sustain and impact our local and regional communities, especially the underserved.

We aim to build capacity and capability in training and education. At the heart of Newcastle Health Research Partnership lies a commitment to nurturing the next generation of research-driven leaders in health and social care. This commitment is vital as we witness a decline in clinical academics and educators across the UK, despite widespread recognition that research drives innovation and outcomes within our NHS.
